Pastor's Bio

Rev. W. Eric Johnson was born in Baltimore Maryland to Delores B Johnson and the Late Dr. William E Johnson Sr. At an early age Rev. Johnson accepted Christ as his personal Lord and savior and was baptized at the Timothy Baptist Church under the pastorate of Dr. James L, Ball. It was at the age of twelve years old that Rev. Johnson was given the opportunity to deliver a youth day sermon and this proved to be the initial interest in his calling to the ministry of preaching.

Rev. Johnson was educated in the Baltimore city public school system and later matriculated at the Maryland Drafting Institute (College Park) and Howard University (Washington, D.C.).  He has been a design team member for several Washington, D.C. Architectural firms and was CAD manager and supervisor for Slye Electronics in Arlington Virginia for many years.

While Rev. Johnson’s occupation as an Architect was his chosen vocation, his calling to the gospel ministry would prove to be stronger.  Rev. Johnson’s natural love and compassion for God’s people made servant hood a perfect fit.

Rev. Johnson has been faithfully serving the Union Baptist Church family since 2004. While serving the church he also serves as a committee member of the Johns Hopkins Bayview, “Healthy Community Partnership”. He is a board member of the Turner station Family Discovery Center and member of the Baltimore County and Vicinity Ministerial Alliance.

Rev Johnson is married to his beautiful wife of twenty one years Evangelista M. Johnson. They have three beautiful Children. Yaneece, Willard and Jenay.
They are blessed to have one son-in law, Kevin and grandson Yamar and granddaughter Peyton.
